Though Steve's gotten her pretty well filled in, building on what she managed to find out for herself just after arriving, there's no way in hell Natasha is about to just relax and take this all in stride. She can adapt, sure, but not without as much information as it's possible to get, and even then, she doesn't see why she should trust any of this, a place that knew to expect her, that as far as she can tell knows about her, even if no one here does.

Almost no one, at least. Their crew has apparently shrunk considerably, and not just in the literal way that Steve has, but he'd mentioned Dr. Banner's presence, and so she's been keeping an eye out for him since she left Steve's apartment. At some point, she needs to get back into City Hall, do more than a precursory search of their records, get more about history and check for any names that stand out, people who might have been on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar. She needs to get her bearings, too, beyond just what studying a map can do for her, find a place to stay that isn't her assigned apartment, put together more than just the clothes on her back she showed up in and the weapons that came along with her. Walking around this place unarmed hardly seems like a smart plan when there's no telling what might happen or who she might come across. If HYDRA's here, there've got to be plenty who'd be hostile.

But Bruce hardly fits that description, no matter what's happened in the past, and, deep down, when she catches sight of him jogging in the park, she's pleased to have found him quickly, if surprised by his current choice of activity. She doesn't let on to either, just smiles, the barest hint of a teasing edge in it, as she nods to him. "Dr. Banner."

At first, Bruce thought he might be imagining it when he caught sight of the redhead up ahead on the path. Then she called out to him, and as he got closer...

Nope, that was definitely Natasha.

Fortunately, Bruce wasn't quite so comfortable with his new condition that he could stick a pair of headphones on and disappear while he ran. The last few days, throwing on a t-shirt and some gym shorts had always been a last minute impulse, a wild and rebellious little fling with real humanity, because for all he knew every day was liable to be his last.

"Tasha?" he called out, grinning as he slowed when he reached her. "My God...I'd hug you, but uh..." He trailed off, gesturing to his glistening face and t-shirt stained dark at the collar with sweat. "Have...Jesus, did you just get here? Or did I miss you when you showed up?"
